FOGSCREEN REFERENCE SITE / Discovery Science Center

"The FogScreen was one of the main attractions in our summer 2007 exhibition, Pirates – featuring Treasure! It helped bring the seas to life and kept guests puzzled as they wondered why they didn’t get wet when they passed back and forth. For our annual black tie event, the FogScreen projection screen was the backdrop for photos and became a fun ice breaker for our attendees. Our guests love it. TV reporters use it for news segments. We couldn’t be happier with this product!"

Discovery Science Center, a complex of hands-on exhibits and interactive programs, is Orange County’s premier science destination. Since 1998, the Science Center has been dedicated to educating young minds, assisting teachers and increasing public understanding and appreciation of science, math and technology. Easily recognized by its 10-story-tall Cube that towers over Interstate Five, Discovery Science Center features more than 100 interactive exhibits designed to spark children’s natural curiosity.

In 2007, Discovery Science Center was looking for an element to bring the seas to life inside of the summer exhibition, Pirates – featuring Treasure! The FogScreen provided the perfect mix of mystery and visual appeal to keep guests wondering how it worked and if they would get “wet” walking though it! We’ve since incorporated the FogScreen as the backdrop for our fundraising gala, and in two additional exhibitions: Spooky Science – Mummies and The Science of Gingerbread. It is a great addition to our hands-on science environment!
