Tips for installation and use of FogScreen™ projection screen |
When buying or renting the FogScreen projection screen you will receive all necessary documentation for using, installing and creating content. Here is some basic information about installation: |
2. Projection and Lighting RequirementsThe FogScreen projection screen works very much like any ordinary screen in terms of projection properties. Normal stray light is not a problem, as long as the projector is powerful enough. 3. Rigging and truss structureHooks in the ceiling or a truss structure are needed for rigging. The bottom of the device should be rigged at around 2 meters (6’7”) above the floor, so that people can easily walk under the screen. The projected image can be 1.5-2 meters high, so that the bottom of the projected image is close to the floor. The device is normally suspended from two rigging points. Threaded adjusters are included in the delivery. 4. ProjectionThe projector can be placed almost anywhere behind the screen, but ideally it should be installed at about 2.3 meters (8’) high or higher on an adjustable shelf or on another truss so its hot spot does not hit viewers’ eyes. The preferable distance between the device and the projector is 4 meters, depending on the projector’s zoom range. The image can be viewed well from far away - preferably the FogScreen projection screen would be located where viewers can see it while arriving, from afar. |
