02.12.2008 -FogScreen, Inc. Launches their Bespoke FogScreen Projection Screen Range for the Retail Sector

The first tailor-made FogScreen projection screen for a retail park charms customers at the Ideapark Commercial City Catwalk, Lempäälä, Finland

Helsinki 2.12.2008 - The Finnish innovation technology company, FogScreen Inc., has discovered a growing market for AV solutions in the retail sector. The retail sector has the potential to become a high volume market for FogScreen solutions in the international marketplace.  Due to extensive demand, in 2009 FogScreen Inc. will be launching their custom-made FogScreen projection screen range to meet the needs of retail businesses.

The shopping center range, the 3 meter ‘wall of fog’, had its world premiere evening at the weekend in the Ideapark, Lempäälä.  The FogScreen projection screen on Ideapark’s fashion street, The Catwalk, is a continuation of the solutions especially designed for the retail business, which can be experienced at the Hotel Flamingo Holiday Club and BowlCircus in Vantaa, Finland.

”Such design solutions for retail outlets represent an important development for us, when global markets are taken into account”, relates Mika Koivula, CEO of FogScreen, Inc.  Usually the most prestigious customer references have been won from outside Finland.  Now we have pleasure in recognizing that Finnish customers, such as the Ideapark and our clients at the Flamingo, are the world’s pioneers for the purchase of FogScreen Retail-solutions”, Koivula rejoices.

The increasing desire by the retail trade to build visual solutions in order to accelerate business transactions has been observed across the world. The brands’ flagship and design outlets invest aggressively in enticing customers into stores from the walkways and directing the customer flow within the store according to the optimum plan.  The FogScreen projection screen plays the role of ‘a business tout’ very effectively, as its attraction value is much greater than LED displays or plasma screens.

”FogScreen immediately nailed it!  Already on the first day of operation, the reactions from the shoppers varied from amazement to enchantment.  This is a wonderful add-on to increase the customer flow to The Catwalk.  A premium solution to a premium site”, enthuses Henry Sukari, the Managing Director of Koy Ideapark Ab. The Catwalk is a shopping avenue housing twenty side-by-side brand stores, including: Tara Jarmon, Turo Tailor, Tommy Hilfiger, Timberland, Marc O’Polo and Gerry Weber, to mention but a few.

FogScreen will launch various FogScreen projection screen models for the retail industry which are designed for in-store use and for shopping center walkways.  “As the world’s recession affects consumer behaviour, the attraction of customers and maintaining their interest are more important than ever”, points out Mika Koivula.

In addition to the Ideapark Catwalk installation, FogScreen retail projection screens can be experienced at Linnanmäki Amusement Park, in Santa’s Den, the Holiday Club and the BowlCircus.
